| Champion The Champion was an early microcar following on from cycle cars. It was designed in 1946 and went into production in 1949. The Champion 400 of 1950 had identical doors and used the same presing for front and rear bodywork. It was a succesful design but expensive, so in late 1952 production was discontinued with just over 2000 Champions built. The company was taken over by Maico and the car became the Maico 400 and later evolved into the Maico 500 which survived up to 1958. The model is a hand built resin model in 1:43 scale. It was made in Russia around 2002. |
