Avolette
| The Avolette was a small, open
3-wheeler based on Brutsch designs, using Ydral, Sachs or Maico engines from 125 to 250cc.
All were single-cylinder units, and final drive was by chain to the rear
wheel. In 1957 Lambretta engine of 125 and 150cc were used. In 1958 an
associated company, the Societe France Jet, announced another Brutsch design, the V2N
4-wheeler with 175cc Ydral engine, which they sold under the name France Jet. Like
the 3-wheelers, it had no doors, but an improved version for 1959 had doors and a 280cc
AMC engine.

| Jochen I do not know of a ready built or kit model of the
Avolette but here is one-off scratch built in 1:43 scale by my friend Jochen. Let's
hope it is an inpiration to the commercial model makers out there. |
