Japanese Brochure for the Cervo 'Fronte Coupe' by Diapet

            Suzuki Cervo / SC100GX

The Suzuki Cervo of 1972 was based on the earlier Fronte and used a 539 cc two-stroke engine of 28 hp.  It was also known in the UK as the SC100 GX, or Whizzkid.  This export version had a 1000 cc engine of 47 hp which made it quite nippy.

The diecast models are by Diapet No 13-0437, 100mm long.   They have opening doors, tilting  seats, suspension and those horrible whizzwheels.  The plastic kit is 1:20 scale and can be built as either the standard car or as the police version.   Was this the Japanese version of our (UK) 'Panda car'?
