Fronte in the Toyota Automobile Museum, (a brilliant place to visit!)      Suzuki Fronte 1967

Suzuki Fronte LC10
The Suzuki Fronte 360 was introduced in 1967 to replace the Suzulight 360,  It had a lightweight rear engine (air-cooled, 3-cylinder, two-stroke: 25 hp at 5000 rpm basic, and 36 hp at 7000 rpm in the SS version).  The Fronte had fully independent suspension and a top speed of 58 mph, (78  mph for the SS).

The model is by Diapet of Japan to 1:40 scale.  It features suspension, glazed windows with a plastic interior, and opening doors.  The Suzuki can also be built from a plastic construction kit by ARII in their 1:32 series which has both the Standard and also the SS version.

Kyosho
No surprise this is another Japanese model but this time in solid resin in the Kyosho Old Timers Series.  Solid models are usually home made and rather amateur but this is definitely professionally done and  most impressive, in spite of black gloss painted windows. Reference N.63110 from 2001.
