Fuldamobil![]() The Fuldamobil shown here is the N-2 of 1952, nicknamed the 'silver flea'. It was built in Germany from unpainted aluminium panels screwed to a wooden frame. It was powered by a 359cc Sachs single cylinder engine. The N-2 lasted until 1955. The more rounded model is a licence built Fulda from Nordwestdeutsche Farzeugbau, (NWF) during 1954-1955. The Fulda version looked very similar. Eventually the Fulda developed into the British Nobel and lasted until 1962. |

The N-2 model is handmade in solid clear plastic in 1:87 scale. It was made in Germany by Reinhard Oestmann and is identified by an imprint of the 'Christian Fish' emblem on the underside. Detailing is brilliant, note the driver's side rear view mirror! The NWF is made by a small Japanese company, Equipe Models in 1:43 scale, ref#28. A bigger scale, more crude construction, but the only model I know of this rare microcar. |
