| Hondina | |
| The Hondina was a creation of the famous Italian designer Zagato
Zanzara. It was first shown in 1970 based on the running gear of a Honda N360.
A short while later this was changed to Fiat 500 mechanicals. In a similar way to
the Bond Bug the whole front of the car, including the windscreen, tilts forward for
access. The Itn Politoys (by Polistil) model is in a claimed 1:43 scale and is reference number E20. The engine cover lifts to show a detailed and chromed engine. It looks a little bigger than the Honda engine would have but nice all the same. The box is decorated inside to look like a fuel service station, and it includes a small label (with a picture of the model) as an invite to join the Politoys collectors club. Or I think it does, my Italian is none too Hot! |
