| The original Daihatsu midget first appeared in 1957 and this very basic,
light truck soon became their best selling model. The Midget II is in contrast very
luxurious. It is a single seater, with the engine under the seat, and features such
refinements as stereo radio and air conditioning. The blue and dark green models are by Tomica, ref. No.s 21 & 62. They are both to a scale of 1:50. The small model is by Model Planning of Japan and is in 1:130 scale. |

| It is too small to feature revolving wheels but still captures the original quite well and has plastic windows. | ||

The midget also appears in 'Owners Club 1/32' by ARII as
ref. No.7. It is a basic plastic construction kit and one of a series that features
many Japanese microcars. |
