Miniacars'43 & Quiralu Velams
Isetta Velam
The Isetta was, of course, originally designed in Italy by Renzo Rivolta who was a fridge and motor scooter manufacturer.  Not suprisingly it could not compete with the baby Fiats and the design was sold on to various countries, Brazil, France, Germany and the UK.   One of the best was the French Velum Isetta which had a unique body style and was powered by an ISO 236cc two stroke engine.  Around 7000 examples were built.

The models are the Quiralu Reproduction and a new (1999)    handbuilt model from Miniacars'43.
This French model is in 1:43 scale and is available as the 1955 car with 'toit overt' (seen here) or as the 1958
closed roof edition.  It is a limited edition of 250 pieces, ref. 98.021.
